We recognise that as a major business our activities can have an impact upon the wider community and the environment, either directly or indirectly. As a result, we seek to operate responsibly with; our clients, our people, the community, the environment, and our suppliers.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) means companies and firms managing their impact on our society, our economy and our environment. It is an opportunity for the business community to meet and exceed the expectations of clients, consumers, employees, governments and other stakeholders beyond their statutory obligations.


Environmental Management ~

Running any business has an impact on the environment. Equally running a business efficiently makes good business sense. In 2007, we launched our environmental management programme. The programme is ongoing, however we are proud of our successes to date and we aim to achieve ISO 14001 status by the end of 2008.


Client Relationships ~

The first responsibility for all business is its economic impact. At ESG this means focusing on building strong, long-term relationships with our clients, based upon a thorough knowledge and understanding of their business. Our clients seek our advice on a wide range of security issues, placing considerable trust in our ability to provide them with tailored advice and services that meet their specific business needs. Thus demanding that we act with a high degree of integrity at all times, respecting our clients’ property and their business ethics.


Investing in our People ~

Teamwork, effective management of our people and personal development are three of the four cornerstones of our values (the fourth being strong client relationships). We believe fundamentally that we cannot provide our clients with consistent, high quality security services without investing in the well-being, training, careful supervision and development of our people.


Health and Safety at Work ~

Adherence to our health and safety policy is an essential feature of our efficient operation, and is a civil and statutory obligation we take extremely seriously.


Diversity ~

Our objective is to enhance diversity and create a supportive culture in which all employees regardless of ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, nationality or disability can develop their skills, advance their careers and maximise their potential. We are involved in a number of initiatives that demonstrate our approach to inclusion.


Involvement in the Local Community ~

We recognise that there is an appropriate role for business in helping to tackle some of the issues affecting our society. We also recognise that employee volunteering and organising charitable fundraising initiatives, creates valuable opportunities for personal development and teamwork.
